How to create a grid

Go outside and have a look at some of the numerous new buildings on and around the campus.

Make sketches of different window-patterns. Focus on window-sizes, proportions and the spaces in between. Notice the difference in rhythm between the different facades. What makes them interesting, boring, happy or sad? ---- Based on this research, design at least 1 new window-pattern for a multistory building. Represent each apartment in a square of 20x20 mm. Each apartment can contain one, two or more windows. Try different proportions, sizes and combinations. ---- Technique: cut rectangle windows out of black paper, try out different arrangements and glue the elements on their place. ---- Give the building a name. ---- 1,5 day
